Good Morning Cuttlebug'ers! Summer is in full swing and everyone is busy vacationing, and spending time with family. I myself will be going on a much needed vacation July 10th for a whole month! I am sooooo excited! But... have no fear... I will still be here! I could never leave all my friends for a whole month! *giggle*

I chose to be festive this month and add a little red white and blue to my living room! Since this months challenge will be to use Starz and Stripes and BLING I added some glitter to my project!
I used D'vine Swirls, and Forest Branches embossing folders on my project! For a full recipe visit my Cricut blog!
July's challenge is to use some BLING! We rec'd this wonderful package from Crazy Scraps to use this month! I added some heat embossing on some of the circles and on my plain doodlebug mini brads to make them shine some!
I used the following:
Paper: Crushed Velvet Blue Jean Doodlebug, Sew American Stripe by Doodlebug, white cardstock, red cardstock, glitter cardstock
Cuttlebug Die 2x2 - Circle frames, Red Mini Brads by Doodlebug, some rhinestones, ribbon.
I used my Storybook cart for the marquee--sew american paper cut at 11 1/2 inches and the white was cut at 8 inches. FUN was cut with the Mickey Font at 2 inches...Check out my blog for more info on the project: http://www.scrapthiscraftthat.blogspot.com/ Thanks!!!
RECIPE: Cuttlebug embossing folder= Herringbone/ Cuttlebug die 2x2= Circle Frames/ patterned paper= Doodlebug ( Sew American Stripes)/ velvet paper= Doodlebug ( Crushed Velvet Blue Jean/ red brads= Doodlebug ( Lady Bug).
TECHNIQUE: I cut out the letters from red cardstock and ran them through my Cuttlebug using the Herringbone folder. I cut the circles from tan embossed cardstock using the Circle Frames die and my Cuttlebug, then glued them together graduating sizes and dangled them from between the the banner triangles.
Every year for 4th of July we have a breakfast, parade, then scrapping the rest of the day get together!
I can't wait to add picture to this layout. I will the picture showed off the circles a little better. Within each circle is an embossed star and a red brad. I ran my distressing block over the velvet and it looks great!
Recipe: Star Cuttlebug embossing folder and cuttlebug circle frames dies, Doodlebug pattern and Velvet paper, and red brads, Tim Holtz grungeboard, making memories red wagon and glitter paints, stampin up brilliant blue ink, and CTMH alphabet stamps.
Ingredients: Doodledesign products, Crushed velvet cardstock, Stars and stripes patterned paper, Ladybug brads (red), Stars cut from Quickutz die, Circles and Frames from Cuttlebug Die. Other accents, warm red chalk, organza wired ribbon, and Clear stamps -Freedom stamp, and crystal jewels.
